The rootstrust USB 3.1 Flash Drive is a specially formatted, extremely fast device that works with Windows, Mac OS X and Linux. It is also backwards compatible with USB 2.0, but will run slower in that mode, of course. Run rootstrust directly from the flash drive on any or all of the three operating systems, and/or install rootstrust on any or all of the three operating systems from the flash drive. If rootstrust is installed on your computer's hard drive, you can transfer a database from the hard drive to the flash drive or from the flash drive to the hard drive using special rootstrust menu commands. Here is a possible usage scenario:
- Take the flash drive with you to a library, archives or a friend's house.
- Plug it into any Windows, Mac or Linux computer.
- Enter new data into your database.
- Return home and transfer the modified database to your hard drive.
